Visualize Your Success

I am going to share with you a visualization technique that has the potential to change your mindset toward trading from failure to success if done properly and consistently.

You must see yourself as a successful trader before you become one. See yourself as a success on a daily basis

THE THEATRE of YOUR MIND (remember this is all done in the mind using our imagination)

  • Pick a very comfortable chair in the theatre
  • The idea is to watch the big screen in front of you (in your imagination) and watch little movies starring yourself the way you want to be.
  • Key is to change your self image (the way you subconsciously see yourself)

Visualization techniques work 100 times better than willpower!!!

RULES TO REMEMBER WHEN USING VISUALIZATION TECHNIQUES TO IMPROVE YOUR SELF-IMAGE:

1) You must be in a relaxed state when going into the theatre of your mind:

  • Not relaxed = Impossible to success
  • No distractions

2) You must pay close attention to details of your mental pictures:

  • Your subconscious cannot tell the difference between an imagined experience and a real one if the details are vividly portrayed
  • Focus intensely on the details around you (sights, sounds, smells etc)

3) You must act as if you are already the kind of person you want to be:

  • Key to changing your self-image is to continually think of yourself as the person you want to be, and even more so, you need to keep acting like you already are that way.
  • Your subconscious will begin to follow suit

4) You should go into the theatre of your mind at least once a day for about 20-30 minutes, and preferably, it should be the same time each day (mornings work best as you are most relaxed at this time):

  • Scientific experiments have shown it takes about 21 days to change a habit or thought process
  • We are trying to change a bad unhelpful habit (negative emotion toward trading such as fear and greed) into a good and helpful one (success)
  • It didn’t take one day to form these bad habits, therefore it takes time to change them
  • Using this exercise for 21 days in a row will yield some pleasantly surprising results.

THIS TECHNIQUE CAN BE USED IN ANY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE!!!
